Bridging The Gap
Our mission is to inspire our community of students, staff, and business partners to realize their passions and skills
By providing access to digital fabrication tools and equipment, we educate learners about collaboration, open-ended problem solving, and the use of an iterative design thinking process to decrease the skills gap in advanced manufacturing technician jobs.
Our Lab Capabilities
Our state-of-the-art Collab Lab in Sedalia is located on State Fair Community College’s campus and offers the latest in digital technology for learners of all ages.
In 2021, through funding from the National Science Foundation, SFCC partnered with Palmer Hamilton to develop a space for empowering educators and engaging students. We focused on selecting intuitive equipment and tools that learners could independently operate after just a short training period.
