The Collab Lab at State Fair Community College (SFCC) is an adaptive makerspace and fabrication lab equipped with manufacturing and engineering tools.

We offer hands-on programming for K-12 school groups to experience The Collab Lab and develop crucial problem-solving skills through digital fabrication technology.

All of our STEM field trip activities incorporate science and math concepts by enabling students to dream, design, build, and test ideas to solve key problems in our economy. We also highlight a variety of technician careers in advanced manufacturing, including engineering, computer science, mechatronics, welding, and automation.

What You Can Expect

      We offer science field trips and STEM-focused activities for all ages, from fifth grade to seniors in high school.

      We have three activity options to choose from, which use an assortment of our equipment and machinery to inspire creativity, collaboration, and problem solving.

  • State-Of-The-Art Equipment

      Students can gain real world experience with manufacturing and STEM equipment such as 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC routers, and more.
